Earlier this week, the Inquiry held its first preliminary hearing for the investigation into Procurement across the UK (Module 5) on February 6th.
The hearing took place at the Inquiry’s Hearing Centre, Dorland House, London.
During these hearings, the Inquiry Chair decides how investigations will proceed; evidence is not heard. Counsel to the Inquiry and Core Participants make submissions to prepare for public hearings.
This investigation will review and recommend on the procurement and distribution of healthcare equipment and supplies across the UK, including PPE, ventilators, oxygen, lateral flow tests, and PCR tests. More details are in the provisional scope for Module 5.
