Today marks International Women’s Day and we are incredibly proud to make a positive difference to the women we work with.

Not only do women make up 55% of our Board, but we are continually making changes to benefit women across the business. We are committed to hybrid working, something that has been so beneficial to many people. Especially in a world where 75% of part-time workers are women, hybrid working empowers our people to bring their whole selves to work

Esther Leach, our Managing Director, is pleased to mark IWD this year, especially considering this year’s theme of #BreakTheBias and its impact on the legal sector.

“It’s vital to take time on International Women’s Day to celebrate the greatness of women whilst also facing the truth that we need to push for equality and inclusion for women in our society.

The intersections of women’s experiences are stark in the legal sector, with many female lawyers having experienced both conscious and unconscious bias against them. This bias is compounded for women from racially minoritized backgrounds, disabled women, LGBTQIA+ women, and women from working class backgrounds.

That’s why it’s been brilliant to see people talking about #BreakTheBias today. I can’t wait for us to break the bias in law, both in terms of what a lawyer looks like and what a career in law should look like. Here’s to breaking the bias!

After all, advancing equality will benefit everyone.”
