My role in Medical Negligence Team is to prepare the client’s medical records. I sort the records thoroughly, reviewing every page and then I prepare a detailed chronology of events. I then highlight key details, make suggestions about the medical aspects and identify any other records that the solicitor may need. Every case is unique and personal and needs to be prepared with attention to the smallest of details.
A little about me
I get great satisfaction from sorting a huge pile of records into good order to enable a thorough review of everything that has happened. I am happy when I know that I have found all of the details that could make a difference for the client. I have worked for the firm since 2009 and enjoy being part of such a great team.
My experience
I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1987. I worked on a general medical ward for several years and then specialised in cancer nursing. I am experienced in radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments and all aspects of nursing care. I stepped away from nursing shift work when my children were young and I am so glad to have this role, which continues to use my training, experience and passion for high standards of care.
