Contact meHow can I help you?
I specialise in medical negligence (also known as clinical negligence) and I have a wide range of expertise, including complex cases causing long-term consequences, as well as cases where a person has sadly died as a result of negligent treatment. I have experience with working on all areas of negligence including still births, brain injuries, orthopaedic, cardiology, the development and management of pressure sores and also, cases where there has been a delay in a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
A little about me
I have worked within the Clinical Negligence team at Jackson Lees for almost 21 years. I have a real passion for helping people who have suffered negligence through no fault of their own, helping them obtain financial compensation, reimbursing them for the financial losses they have suffered and, also providing financial help for the future. Medical negligence claims can take a number of years to conclude, and I will always ensure I do my very best to help clients through what can be an emotional journey, providing a client with assurance, guidance, and support. It is important to me that I gain a good relationship with my client and that they have confidence and trust in me.
My experience
I began my career at Jackson Lees Solicitors in 2001 as Legal Secretary, assisting various solicitors within the Clinical Negligence department. In 2007, I transferred to the New Cases Team where I would speak to all new clients with their initial enquiries. I was promoted to a Paralegal in 2010, where I assisted five fee earners, including the Head of Department with their cases. This gave me a huge amount of experience, dealing with a vast variety of clinical negligence claims. I then made the decision to become a qualified Lawyer and in 2022, I was delighted to become a Chartered Legal Executive having completed seven years of hard work and dedication to both my work and studies.
In my spare time I enjoy family life with my two daughters. I also enjoy reading, going to the gym, dining out and, taking our dog on long walks.
