This week we delivered our last Academy course of 2019, and what a year it’s been!
We’ve delivered over 80 courses, seminars, and workshops this year, covering everything from understanding your influence, introductions to all of our areas of law, feeling the fear and overcoming anxiety, secondary trauma, and we have ended our calendar year this week with a course on learning to lead. Leadership is so important, and knowing that we can all lead, regardless of our roles in organisations, or in the world generally, is definitely something that we should be keeping at the forefront of our minds going into 2020.
We are really committed to the learning culture that we have here at Jackson Lees Group, and I’m really grateful to everyone who has taken time to deliver courses on the Academy this year, and to everyone who has attended. The passion and enthusiasm of everyone in our business, and their commitment to constantly questioning and learning, is really inspiring.
The highlight of the year for me was LearnFest, which was in September and marked the first birthday of the Academy! LearnFest was a festival of learning, consisting of 27 events across four of our six offices. We had talks on everything from the history of our business, seeing things from the eyes of our clients, to Virtual Reality wellbeing sessions, empowerment and innovation hubs. The buzz across the business that week was amazing, and everyone got involved in some way.
I’m really looking forward to the Academy coming back in 2020 bigger and better!
