We are delighted to announce the appointment of five new training solicitors across Jackson Lees and Broudie Jackson Canter. The five new trainees join the four existing trainees who are currently completing their training contracts across the group. We are so proud to be able to encourage the development of the region’s next generation of lawyers to make a positive difference in their community.

The five training contracts have been awarded to Abbie Harrison, Georgia Drohan, Shea Carson, Katy Smith and Laura Porter. These appointments reflect our commitment to recognising the brilliant talent across the business and allows us to nurture the development of our employees’ careers.

Esther Leach, Managing Director at Jackson Lees Group, said:

The trainees expressed great enthusiasm to be joining the Jackson Lees Group.

Abbie Harrison, who will be working in the Covid Inquiry team, commented:

I am delighted to have been offered a training contract at Jackson Lees! I look forward to embarking on the next step in my journey to becoming a qualified solicitor and having the opportunity to do so with such a respected firm, with historical social justice roots, is a privilege. I can’t wait to experience a wide range of practice areas, build upon the knowledge gained during my time in the Covid Inquiry department and learning from the amazing lawyers across the business"

Georgia Drohan, who is joining the Family Law Department, remarked:

I am thrilled to have secured a training contract with Jackson Lees Group and feel very lucky to work for such a brilliant and supportive firm. I am very excited to start the final chapter on my journey to being a qualified solicitor.”

Shea Carson, who is starting in the Court of Protection team, discussed her position:

I am incredibly excited to start my training contract with Jackson Lees and have the chance to learn from so many excellent lawyers! It is a brilliant opportunity to progress all of our careers in such a forward-thinking, supportive firm.”

Katy Smith, new to the Medical Negligence team, said:

I’m absolutely delighted to have secured a training contract with Jackson Lees Group. I’m really looking forward to getting started and feel very grateful to continue to work for a firm who strive to make a positive difference for our clients.”

Laura Porter, who will also be joining the Medical Negligence team, said:

I am thrilled to have been offered a Training Contract at Jackson Lees Group after working as a Paralegal at the firm for the last 5 years. I am excited to progress my career at Jackson Lees Group and look forward to qualifying as a Solicitor.”
