I am a Court of Protection Executive, assisting Solicitors Joanne Lee and Katie Tunstall. I work with some of society’s most vulnerable individuals, who lack the capacity to manage their own property and financial affairs for many reasons ranging from brain injury due to negligence/personal injury, learning difficulties to our elderly clients whose mental capacities have been affected due to a number of reasons, including Alzheimer’s and dementia.
A little bit about me
I am very privileged to work in the Court of Protection, making a positive difference to each of our clients, and their families each and every day – no matter how big or small is something that makes every day worth getting up for. I am very passionate about building a good rapport with our client’s, and family members alike as it is extremely important that they feel listened, included and most importantly, supported.
My experience
I joined Jackson Lees in March 2020, and whilst I do not have any law qualifications, I do have an extensive legal background. Shortly after a short stint in college studying hair & beauty I decided I wanted to choose a different path and started the first leg of my legal journey as a post room clerk – many years ago. I have since worked for various law firms, working may way up from Post Room clerk to Legal Admin Clerk, to Legal Assistant to Paralegal – building my knowledge in different areas along the way.
