Contact meHow I can help you?
As a Trainee Solicitor in Community Care, my job is to help people with a variety of legal issues such as challenges to the Care Act assessments by the local authority; challenging financial assessments in relation to the care contributions you are asked to pay; dealing with continuing healthcare appeals; adaptations and matters pertaining to safeguarding investigations and findings by the local authority. I can also assist with helping children where decisions are made on their behalf, particularly in relation to their needs and their transition from children services to adult services.
I have over two years of experience in litigation and Legal Aid and look forward to expanding my knowledge further into this complex and broad area of law.
A little about me
The reason I wanted to pursue a career in the law was to make a positive difference in the world and to help people through tough times. I am so proud to work in a department with such a stellar reputation in supporting individuals in getting access to care, support and justice. I enjoy the challenging yet extremely rewarding nature of my work.
I am also passionate about giving back to the community, which is why I am part of the Charity Collective here at Jackson Lees where we organise charitable events and collaborate with various charities to raise awareness on prominent issues.
My experience
I am a first-class Bachelor of Laws graduate, and I completed my Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws with a Distinction.
Upon the completion of my studies, I worked in a legal department within a charity that advocates on behalf of young people. I later joined Jackson Lees Group in August 2021.
Outside of my work as a Trainee Solicitor, I am the Trustee of the charity ‘A Race for Justice’ which aims to educate the public on social attitudes towards race and discrimination.
I was honoured by Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division at the 2022 Annual Awards, winning the Care in the Community Award the same year our firm won the Support to Rising Talent Award.
