I’m an Associate Director in the Clinical Negligence Team in Birkenhead.
These claims are often worth many millions of pounds and the outcome can be life changing for clients and their families. It can also be very rewarding to settle a long running case, knowing the difference that the money will make to the client’s quality of life.
A little about me
I’m enjoying the change in my role, and the varied nature of each day.
This type of work can be fascinating from a legal and medical point of view, and I enjoy the challenge of trying to piece together what has happened, and whether the care fell below the standards that the client was entitled to expect.
My experience
I joined Jackson Lees many moons ago, in December 2001, gradually working my way up to become a partner, before accepting my current role as Associate Director. I graduated from University of Cambridge in 1998 and hold an MA in Law.
I’ve been working in the Clinical Negligence team for around 15 years, and in that time, have developed a speciality in high value complex cases, such a spinal injuries cases or where a child has suffered from a brain injury around the time of their birth.
Away from the office, I read anything that stays still long enough and attempt to keep fit with badminton and running, subject to the demands of my toddler!
