I head up the Civil Liberties department, which covers a wide range of areas including Inquests, Major Inquiries, Social Welfare and Community Care, Housing, Mental Health, Discrimination, and Actions Against the Police.

A little about me

I love working with people and I am always keen to make sure we are working in the best way possible to provide an excellent service to our clients. I am passionate about access to justice and am proud that we are able to offer Legal Aid in most of our areas of work to make sure that people can get legal advice when they need it.

My experience

I worked in the field of Clinical Negligence for over 10 years and obtained several million pounds in compensation for my clients during that time. I then internally project-managed the refurbishment of our Liverpool office and the closure of two satellite offices in our move to hybrid working following the first lockdown. I worked with the Civil Liberties department on the Hillsborough Civil Claims scheme in 2021 and in summer 2021 was appointed as the Civil Liberties department head.
