Contact meHow can I help you?
I’m the Director of the firms' Costs Department and manage a team of 5 staff. My role is to manage the firms’ Legal Aid Billing and Legal Aid Contracts and deal with all Legal Aid Agency Audits and the preparation of Legal Aid Tenders. I also give advice to our lawyers and provide regular training sessions.
A little about me
I believe that access to justice is vital and that Legal Aid is critical to enabling the public to enforce their rights. I’m proud that Broudie Jackson Canter continue to offer Legal Aid to our clients despite a challenging environment. I take great pride in developing our staff to enable them to progress in their careers.
My experience
I’ve gained a wide range of experience working in legal practices, initially working as a junior in an accounts department in 1992. I worked in the role for a number of years before managing the department and then going on to manage the practice. I developed an interest in legal costs and legal aid work and have also run my own Costs Consultancy firm. I began working for Broudie Jackson Canter in 2009 and was responsible for the funding and billing of the Hillsborough Inquests which I found to be incredibly interesting and fulfilling.
