How can I help?

I am a civil liberties solicitor who specialises in representing clients brining actions against the police and other public authorities. My expertise also extends to representing bereaved families in inquest proceedings, particularly those investigating deaths in custody or state care. I am dedicated to defending the rights of individuals facing injustice and focus on holding state bodies accountable for misconduct and human rights violations.

I understand that taking legal action against powerful institutions can be daunting, which is why I work closely with each client to guide them through the process, making sure they understand their rights and options at every stage. My motivation comes from a deep belief that everyone deserves to be treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. When public bodies fail in their duties, it’s essential that they are held accountable, not just for the individuals affected, but to help create a system that works fairly for all.

A little about me

I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019 with an LLB (Hons) Law Degree before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course and a Masters of Law Degree at John Moores University in 2021.

I am a proud member of the ‘INQUEST Lawyers Group’ and ‘Police Action Lawyers Group” and so am lucky enough to work closely with some of the best minds in the field. I am also an avid advocate for access to justice and so am grateful to be able to offer legal aid services in most areas of my work.

My Experience

I began working in the legal industry at age 16 and started my journey working in criminal defence. I later discovered my passion for the protection of civil liberties after conducting my post graduate research on the extent of police powers and whether they have gone too far.  Since then, I have gone on to win many cases against different police forces for actions such as wrongful arrest, assault, and human rights breaches.

Given my determination for the pursuit of social justice, it became clear that Broudie Jackson Canter was the right place for me.
