Jackson Lees are delighted to announce that four of their trainees have now qualified following the completion of their exams and training. Erin Sunderland, Zoe McConville, Zita Kiszko, and Emily Hutton have all qualified after completing their training and assessments with the Jackson Lees Group.

The newly qualified solicitors expressed great enthusiasm to be joining the brilliant talent of solicitors across the business.
Erin Sunderland joined Jackson Lees Group in August 2021 as a paralegal in the Actions Against the Police team. She began her training contract in September 2023 in the Civil Litigation department, eventually moving onto a seat in Community Care. Upon qualification, Erin has returned to Actions Against the Police.
“After almost 8 years of hard work, determination, and perseverance, I am incredibly proud to reach this new milestone in my legal career qualifying as a solicitor. My journey to becoming a lawyer has helped me grow on both a personal and a professional level. I feel incredibly grateful not only to reach this milestone, but also to be working for a firm which perfectly aligns with my values and allows me the opportunity to do meaningful work that makes a real impact. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I am so excited for this next chapter.”
Zoe McConville joined Jackson Lees Group as a Conveyancing Assistant in 2021, moving to the Covid Inquiry team in early 2023 before beginning her training contract in September of that year. She has had seats in Covid Inquiry, Wills, Trusts and Probate and Court of Protection teams and will be returning to the Covid team now she is fully qualified.
“The journey to qualification has been long and at times very challenging, so I am proud of myself for persevering, as the hard work feels worth it now. I have worked with some brilliant lawyers during my training and I am grateful for all of the help they have given. I am excited to begin my career as a qualified solicitor and I am lucky to do that whilst working on such a monumental Inquiry.”
Zita Kiszko joined Jackson Lees Group as a Court of Protection paralegal in 2022 and secured a training contract in 2023. Keen to bolster her knowledge as a Court of Protection lawyer, she did seats in both Court of Protection and Clinical Negligence before returning to the former to qualify.
“I have been eager to work at Jackson Lees Group since I moved to Liverpool in 2015 and so it feels like a massive achievement to be qualifying as a solicitor at the firm 10 years later. The support and experience I have gained here has been instrumental in my development and so I am thrilled to be continuing my journey as a Court of Protection solicitor.”
Emily Hutton joined Broudie Jackson Canter in 2022 as a paralegal in the family team. She studied for her Solicitor Qualifying Examinations whilst working full time and has qualified with a specialisation in family law.
“Studying for my Solicitor Qualification Exams whilst working full time has been extremely challenging but it’s an incredible feeling to see it all pay off. I have been lucky to have worked closely alongside two incredibly talented and experienced solicitors and I couldn’t have done it without their endless guidance and support. I am looking forward to the next stage of my career in the public family team.”
Esther Leach, Managing Director at Jackson Lees Group, said:
“Developing our people has always been and will remain a priority for us at Jackson Lees Group, and I feel incredibly lucky that we have been able to support these four brilliant lawyers all the way through their training and their examinations to now being fully qualified. I feel proud seeing how they have all developed into confident, capable, excellent lawyers and am very pleased that they will all be continuing their legal careers here with us.”
Jackson Lees would also like to announce the qualification of Kieran Williams, who worked at the firm for a number of years in the Family team and started his training contract while there. One of Kieran’s seats was at Bermans, where he was able to train as a part of the MAPD Group, and he has now qualified into a role in their Asset-Based Lending team there.
