Entrepreneur Visas
If you have access to at least £50,000 to set up or run a business in the UK then you may be accepted for a Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa if you meet other eligibility requirements.
The cost of applying for a Entrepreneur Tier 1 Visa depends on how you apply, where you’re from and whether you have family members coming to the UK with you.
You can stay for a maximum of 3 years and 4 months with an extension of another 2 years if you are staying in this category. If you switch categories, you can stay for an extra 3 years.
You can apply to stay in the UK ‘indefinitely’ once you’ve been in the UK for 5 years.
With an Entrepreneur’s Visa you can either set up a business or take over the current running of one or more.
You are entitled to work for your business and/or be self-employed.
The Visa also allows you to bring family members with you to the UK.
You must not receive any public funds such as housing benefits or do any paid work outside of your business.
