A Youth Mobility Scheme Visa helps young people between the ages of 18 - 30 live and work in the UK for up to 2 years.

Before applying, you must have £1,890 in savings and meet a number of eligibility requirements.

You are able to apply for your Visa up to 3 months before your date of travel. A decision should be made within 3 weeks.

To apply for a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme Visa you must pay £225.

Your Visa will permit you to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years. You will be allowed to enter and leave the UK at any time while your Visa is valid. Your Visa is still valid if you turn 31 while you’re in the UK, as along are still within your 2 years.

Your Visa will allow you to study and work in most jobs. You can also set up your own company or be self-employed, as long as you do not own your premises or any equipment worth more than £5,000. You cannot employ people either.

Unless fully qualified, you cannot work as a doctor or dentist in training. You can also not work as a Professional Sportsperson.

You will not be eligible for a Visa extension and you cannot receive public funding or bring family members with you - they must apply separately.
